Stop the Sexism Rant

Enough of the sexism rant from the Republicans. The Republicans have nothing but egg on their face calling attacks on Palin sexist. They used nothing but sexist tactics in trying to smear Hillary Clinton in the primary elections. Every comment made by Clinton, every action made by Clinton the Republicans claimed she did because she was a woman and that she was trying to hide behind the fact that she was a woman.

These attacks on Palin are not because she is a woman, it is because she is dangerously unqualified, has an awful environmental record, is not a reformer, and has no foriegn policy experience.

Objectionable Pork

More evidence of the lack of reforming that Sarah Palin did while governor...

Several "earmarks" that Sarah Palin requested for the state of Alaska were called "objectionable pork" by John McCain himself. Projects that John McCain objected to and said did not pass normal budget scrutiny were $500000 for a transportation project in Wasilla, $1 million spent on a emergency communications center in Wasilla, and $450000 for a agriculural procession facility also in Wasilla.

Sarah Palin is no Reformer

While running for lieutenant governor of Alaska accepting $4500 from the VECO Company in the same fund raising scheme that led to the downfall of Ted Stephens. Company founder Bill Allen admitted that the plan violated federal tax law but said none the less ...

"If they’re working with the oil industry, I’d like to help with their campaigns,’’ Allen testified last year in the corruption trial of a former state lawmaker. "

During her time has governor Sarah Palin asked for $300 per citizen (the highest in the country) in earmarks for Alaska from the indicted Ted Stephens.

During her time as mayor of Wasilla Palin hired a lobbying firm in a successful bid to win $27 million in earmarks for her tiny town of 950o. McCain has worked in the Senate to end earmarks and pork projects.

Despite what the McCain camp and the RNC want you to believe Sarah Palin is not the reformer that they portray her to be. She had worked closely with Ted Stephens (a longtime Senate enemy of John McCain) in the past, acquiring millions in earmarks and pork projects for her state.

Sarah Palin Works for Big Oil

Despite the best work of RNC and John McCain trying to get you to believe that Palin is a reformer that worked against Big Oil her actions work against the fact.

Palin believes drilling is the only answer to solve the energy crisis saying

"I beg to disagree with any candidate who would say we can’t drill our way out of our problem,”

She even called McCain "close-minded" about his views on ANWR. Sounds pretty pro Big-Oil so far.

Sarah Palin says she doesn't believe in alternative energy saying "alternative-energy solutions are far from imminent and would require more than 10 years to develop.” But the Department of Energy says "(offshore drilling) would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030.” All about the oil.

3/4ths of all public land in the country is open to oil drilling, but yet only 1/4 of this only is currently being explored for oil. Sounds like there is plenty of other oil land that is open to drilling that would not destroy caribou and polar bear habitats.

Carl Pope of the Sierra Club states

“No one is closer to the oil industry than Governor Palin.” Sarah Palin has taken positions that would ensure a continuation of the Bush-Cheney energy policies. She supports drilling everywhere and ignores the need for binding reductions in global warming pollution even though her state is melting. The continuation of these policies will continue higher energy costs, more severe hurricanes and droughts, and despoiled natural treasures."

So a McCain/Palin victory would mean 4 more years of Bush energy policies that saw record-setting energy prices and gas prices that brought about the worst economic slowdown in the United States in decades.

Bristol Palin's Fractured Fairy Tale

Sarah Palin would like to have the world believe that daughter will marry the father or her baby and everything will be great. First of all Bristol must not of been paying attention in school. While governor of Alaska Sarah Palin said she would only fund "abstinence only" sex education programs, saying the "graphic" sex education programs simply don't work. The evidence is that abstinence programs in high schools do not work, and Bristol Palin is a further explain of that. Despite efforts by the hypocritical right wight conservative base that is supporting Palin to hide the story Bristol Palin's pregnancy becomes a story when it directly contradicts her mothers political policies and the views that she is trying to make America believe that she stands for.

Republicans are against teenage mothers and treat them poorly when they come from the intercity, but when they come from there own family then they suddenly want everyone to understand. Judging by the quotes from Levi Johnson's Myspace he is not the stand up gentleman that the RNC and John McCain would like you to believe. He is simply like any other teenage male.

from Levi' Johnson's Myspace Page...

""I'm a fuckin' redneck" who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes.
"But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some shit and just fuckin' chillin' I guess."
"Ya fuck with me I'll kick [your] ass," he added.
He also claims to be "in a relationship," but states, "I don't want kids."

Sarah Palin denies global warming and says the polar bears are just fine!

Sarah Palin says the "jury" is still out on global warming. By jury she means, being a right wing religious creationist, the bible. She does not believe that human fossil fuel emissions are helping to increasing ice cap melt and global warming. Saying that "science will tell us"...does the jury she is waiting for come from BP that employs her husband?

and

If there is no global warming...then the polar bears are just fine. Sarah Palin actually tried to sue the federal government to try and delay them adding polar bears to the endangered species list. Caring only about the interests of big oil in her state, with an article saying

"She and other Alaska elected officials fear a listing will cripple oil and gas development in prime polar bear habitat off the state's northern and northwestern coasts."

Kassie Siegal of The Center for Biological Diversity has been quoted saying

"Even the Bush administration can't deny the reality of global warming,"...

"The governor is aligning herself and the state of Alaska with the most discredited, fringe, extreme viewpoints by denying this."

What do a baby, a 527 group, and Ted Stephens all have in common?

Sarah Palin! That's what they have in common.

-Sarah Palin was first for the "Bridge to Nowhere" (a project of Ted Stephens)

-Palin worked for a 527 group organized by the disgraced Alaskan senator, Ted Stephens who is indicted for corruption charges

-She has retained an attorney to defend her against charges that she wanted a State Trooper fired who had divorced a family member

-She employed a lobbying firm when she was mayor of Wasilla to help secure earmarks for the town

Palin's Husband was Member of States Rights Third Party

Sarah Palin's husband, Todd Palin was once a member of a states rights party in Alaska that fought for all federal lands within the state to be turned back over to the state, several members in the party even wanted the state of Alaska to secede from the union.
